About Form Based Authentication and Configuring the Login Form Window
Form based authentication (FBA) is a method of authentication that redirects you to an editable HTML page that contains a log-on form. Servers using a form-based log-on form typically track a user session by setting HTTP cookies that are used to recognize subsequent requests as being part of the same authenticated session. This allows the server to time out or log out of the session and to force re-authentication by presenting the log-on form at any time.
By default, the use of form-based authentication is disabled. To enable it, use the xconfmanager utility to set the property to true. For more information about the form based authentication (FBA) and how to enable it, refer to the Windchill documentation.
If the form based authentication (FBA) is set up on a Windchill PDMLink server, the Windchill login form window opens in the embedded browser of Creo when you connect to the server and register the server in Creo.
