About Creating CGR Files as the Secondary Content of CATPart CAD Documents
If you set the hdic_export_v5_secondary_cgr configuration option to yes in addition to the hdic_export_v5_to_ws_enable configuration option, the export of Creo models to CATIA V5 creates CGR files as secondary content of the CATPart files. When you check in the CATProduct and CATPart files to Windchill, the part CGR files are automatically checked in attached as secondary content of the CATPart CAD Documents.
Part CGR files with *.cgr file names, content set as secondary, and category as CAD Part are created in addition to the CATParts when you export part models to CATIA V5.

* The export of assemblies as CATProduct assemblies does not create CGR files although individual part CGR files are created for the CATPart components of the assemblies.
After you check in the CATPart and the CATProduct files to the server, you can open the CAD Documents in CATIA through the Windchill Workgroup Manager. The CATProduct and the CATPart CAD Documents load in the Structure and Design mode of CATIA V5 while the secondary content part CGR files load in the Visualization mode.
