About Setting the Selection Filter
You can use the selection filter located in the status bar of Creo Parametric to filter and selectively pick entities on the legacy drawings according to your requirements. You can filter entity types such as annotations, datums, direction arrows, draft entities and groups, draft hatches, and drawing views.
After you set the selection filter to an entity type, entities of the filter type are highlighted when you move the pointer over them on the legacy drawing. You can then individually select the entities or draw a selection box to select multiple entities of the filter type enclosed in the selection box. For example, you can set the selection filter to Draft Entity and draw the selection box to select entities such as lines, circles, arcs, and points enclosed in the box or select them one by one. Similarly, you can set the filter to Annotations and select dimensions, notes, geometric tolerances, symbols, and surface finishes. The default filter type, General, allows you to select all entities.
The entities show selection on the legacy drawing and the Drawing Tree. The selected entities appear green in color on the legacy drawing.
