1. Open an assembly with one or more missing components in Creo Parametric with the Enable ATB option checked in the Import New Model dialog box or the import profile.

2. Save and close the TIM assembly.

3. Copy the missing component to the folder where you saved the TIM assembly. Alternatively, you can set the atb_search_path configuration option to the path of this folder or directory without moving the component. For CADDS 5 models, set the extend_cvpath configuration option or the CVPATH environment variable.

4. Reopen the TIM assembly in Creo Parametric.

5. Select the missing TIM component on the Model Tree and click Model > Operations > ATB > Check Status or right-click and click Associative Topology Bus > Check Status. The missing links icon of the TIM part or assembly changes to the out-of-date icon.

6. Select the out-of-date TIM component on the Model Tree and click Model > Operations > ATB > Update or right-click and click Associative Topology Bus > Update.
