Changing the Reference-Model Link of a TIM or ATB-enabled Feature
Changing the link of a Translated Image Model (TIM) or an imported ATB-enabled feature to the reference part or assembly is required in the following instances:
The reference model is moved to a new location.
The reference model is renamed or is replaced with another model of a completely different file name.
The reference file is older than the last imported version.
The reference model must be located as follows to maintain its association with the TIMs or ATB-enabled features:
In the path to where the reference model was initially imported or from where it was last updated.
In the Creo Parametric working directory.
In a path defined as the value for an instance of the atb_search_path configuration option if the referenced model is a CATIA V4 or V5, CDRS, ICEM, SolidWorks, Creo Elements/Direct, or NX part or assembly.
In the path defined by the CVPATH environment variable if the referenced model is a CADDS 5 part or assembly.
If the reference model is not in one of these locations, the TIM or the ATB-enabled feature loses its association or link with the reference model, has the 'broken link' status, and is identified with the yellow 'broken link' icon in the Model Tree.
Browse to the relocated or renamed reference file and use Model > Operations > ATB > Change Link to restore the reference-model link of the TIM or ATB-enabled feature. You can select any file of the same model type and file format.

* For a TIM assembly, perform Change Link on the top-level assembly. You cannot reset the links of the assembly TIM component models.
