About Exporting Parts and Assemblies to CADDS 5 with Associative Topology Bus
You can export only Creo Parametric-owned parts and assemblies to CADDS 5 which includes the following:
The top-level Creo Parametric assembly
Creo Parametric part and subassembly components of the top-level assembly
Imported CADDS 5 models that have been modified in Creo Parametric
Exported CADDS 5 models are designated as Translated Image Models (TIMs) in CADDS 5 because of the ATB-enabled export.

* If you change a CADDS 5 TIM after the last export, the 'ownership' of the TIM changes to Creo Parametric, especially if you incorporate these TIMs into a heterogeneous assembly and export it back to CADDS 5. As a Creo Parametric user, you can export the model again to the same location or file and update the exported geometry.
You can export again only those TIMs that have changed. For example, for an assembly, only those component models that have been modified can be exported back to CADDS 5 while all other component models are skipped during the export.
When the modified CADDS 5 TIM is exported back to CADDS 5, only those components of the heterogeneous assembly are exported that are owned by Creo Parametric. The modified CADDS 5 TIM overwrites the original CADDS 5 model breaking the association with the original CADDS 5 reference model.
Imported CADDS 5 components of the top-level assembly are not exported to CADDS 5. Instead, the exported top-level assembly uses the actual CADDS 5 parts and assemblies referenced by the imported objects of the top-level Creo Parametric assembly.
