About Associative Topology Bus Functions
With Associative Topology Bus (ATB) you can perform the following functions on a single Translated Image Model (TIM) or ATB-enabled feature or the entire geometry of the imported model:
Check the status of the TIMs or the ATB-enabled features using the Check Status command.
Update TIMs or ATB-enabled features that are identified manually or automatically as out-of-date using the Update command.
Change the link of a TIM or ATB-enabled feature using the Change Link command.
Break the association between a TIM or the ATB-enabled feature and the original reference model using the Make Independent command.
Change the representation of the TIM assemblies and subassembly components in Creo Parametric to product structures with display data or to their master representation using the Read Graphics or the Read Master command.
You can configure the ATB environment so that the system automatically checks the status of the reference file for the following operations:
Open a file from disk
Activate a model already in session
Update TIMs or ATB-enabled features with the ATB Update command
The system automatically checks the status of the TIMs or the ATB-enabled features when the automated Auto Check Status on Update command is active. If the TIMs or the ATB-enabled features are found out-of-date, they are updated.
You can view the information about the TIMs and the ATB-enabled features of the imported model in the Information Window using the Information > ATB Info option on the menu that appears when you right-click a TIM component or an import feature on the Model Tree.
If you clear the default selection of the Enable ATB option in the Import New Model dialog box when you import part and assembly models to Creo Parametric, the Import New Model dialog box displays the Customize layers option. If you retain the default selection of Customize layers, you can select layers and set their import status in the Layer Import Options dialog box.
