To Assemble a Dowel Pin Fastener
1. On the Tools tab, select one of the following options in the Intelligent Fastener group:

Assemble on reference.
◦ 
Assemble by mouse click.
2. Select the references of the dowel pin fastener in the Select References dialog box.
3. Define the dowel pin fastener together with the hole settings in the Dowel Pin Fastener Definition dialog box.
4. If the position reference belongs to a pattern, set the pattern options in the Additional Options dialog box.

1. Select the position reference (point, axis or surface) and click
Assemble on reference.
2. Select the Placement Surfaces of the dowel pin fastener in the Select References dialog box.
3. Define the dowel pin fastener together with the hole settings in the Dowel Pin Fastener Definition dialog box.
4. If the position reference belongs to a pattern, set the pattern options in the Additional Options dialog box.
