To Create a New Configurable Module in a Configurable Product
1. In a configurable product, click . The Create Component dialog box opens.
2. In the Type list, click Subassembly.
3. In the Sub-type list, click Module.
4. To change the default name, type a name in the File Name box.
5. To add a common name, type a name in the Common Name box.
6. Click OK. The Creation Options dialog box opens.
7. Select a creation method:
Copy from existing—Copies the template from an existing assembly.
1. Click Browse. The Choose template dialog box opens.
2. Select an assembly to use as a template and click Open.
3. Click OK. The Design Solutions dialog box opens.
Empty—Creates an empty configurable module. Empty configurable modules are unplaced by default.
8. To leave the configurable module unplaced, click the Leave component unplaced check box.
9. Click OK.
10. In the Design Solutions dialog box, select a component from the list and click OK. The Component Placement tab opens and the component appears in the graphics window.
11. Place the component in the assembly and click .
