To Create a Default Envelope Simplified Representation
1. In an open assembly do one of the following:
Right-click the top level assembly in the Model Tree and choose Representation > Default Envelope from the shortcut menu. The representation in the graphics window changes.
Right-click the default envelope in the Model Tree and choose Representation > Use Envelope from the shortcut menu. The representation in the graphics window changes.
Click . The View Manager dialog box opens to the Simp Rep tab. Continue from step 2.
2. Right-click Default Envelope Rep and do one of the following:
When there is no default envelope, The Default envelope dialog box opens. Proceed to step 3.
When more than one envelope that meets the criteria for a the default envelope exists in the assembly, the Select Envelope dialog box opens. Select an envelope from the list and click OK or click New and proceed to step 3.
 
* When only one envelope meets the criteria for a default envelope in the assembly it is the default envelope representation as well. To set it as active, double click Default Envelope Rep or right-click and choose Set Active from the shortcut menu.
3. Accept the default envelope and part names or type new ones and click OK. The Creation Options dialog box opens.
4. Create a component either by copying from an existing component or leaving the component empty. Click OK. The Shrinkwrap tab opens with the top-level assembly as the reference model.
5. Set shrinkwrap definitions for the envelope part and click .
 
* To add new envelope parts as simplified representations, right-click the default envelope representation and choose Redefine from the shortcut menu. When there are multiple envelopes that meet the criteria for a the default envelope, you can redefine the current representation and select a different envelope from the Select Envelope dialog box.
