About Skeleton Model Geometry and Assembly Features
Skeleton model geometry is different from regular assembly geometry and is not affected by assembly-level features. Assembly features such as cuts and holes do not intersect skeleton model geometry.
To intersect a skeleton model with a cut, select the skeleton model, right-click it in the Model Tree or graphics window, and choose Activate from the shortcut menu, then create the cut in the skeleton model.
