Creo Advanced Framework Configuration Options
You can customize the way you use Creo Advanced Framework by setting configuration options. The list is in alphabetical order, and each option contains the following information:
• The name of the configuration option.
• Default and available variables or values. All default values are marked with an asterisk (*).
• A brief description and notes describing the configuration option.
List of General options:
ADD_PROJECT_SHORTCUT_TO_CONNECTOR_EQUIPMENT

CHANGE_REPRESENTATION_OF_CONNECTOR_EQUIPMENT

COLOR_PROFILE_CONNECTOR_EQUIPMENT_PARTS

CONNECTORS_COLOR
Color of connector elements.
COPY_STANDARD_DRAWINGS_FROM_LIBRARY

yes—Copy AFX standard drawing from library when assembling AFX component.
no—Do not copy AFX standard drawing from library when assembling AFX component.
DEFAULT_MATERIAL_NAME
Sets the name of default material file for parts assembled by Creo Advanced Framework.
DRAWING_FORMAT_NAME
Sets the default format name for existing library drawings.
DRAWING_FORMAT_PATH
Default is pro_format_dir.
Path to the drawing formats.
ELEM_NUMBER_DIGITS
Default is 0.
Sets the number of digits in an automatic part name. Leading zeros are added. A value of 0 uses the number with no leading zeros.
EQUIPMENT_COLOR
Color of equipment elements.
ITEM_NR_DESIGNATE
yes, no
yes—Designate the parameter ITEM_NR_PARAM_NAME to Windchill.
no—Do not designate the ITEM_NR_PARAM_NAME parameter.
ITEM_NR_PARAM_NAME
Default is EFX_ITEM_NR
Name of the parameter to be used for the item numbers.
ITEM_NR_STATUS_UNKNOWN_COMPONENTS
0, 1, 2
0—Unknown components will be excluded from item number generation.
1—Unknown components will be treated like project parts.
2—Unknown components will be treated like standard parts.
ITEM_NR_TEXT_HEIGHT
Text height of item number in AFX item number notes (0 = standard text height).
LENGTH_STR_NUM_DIGITS
Default is 1
Number of digits after the period in BUW_LENGTH_STR.
MAT_FILE_DIRECTORY
Default is pro_material_dir.
Sets the path to Creo Parametric material files for parts assembled by Creo Advanced Framework.
PROFILES_COLOR
Color of profile parts.
REGEN_ASM_AFTER_AUTO_JOINT_CREATION
yes, no
yes—Forces a regeneration after a connector or equipment element joint is created.
no—Do not force a regeneration after a connector or equipment element joint is created.
REMOVE_PROFILE_FILES_AFTER_ASSEMBLY

yes—AFX part, assembly, and drawing files are deleted from disk after assembling part or assembly.
no—AFX part, assembly, and drawing files remain on the disk after assembling part or assembly.
SDNF_IMPORT_NUM_LINES
Default is 10
Sets the number of lines for each profile in a SNDF file (6 or 10).
SEARCH_ELEMENT_NUMBER_IN_ALL_PROJECT_ASSEMBLIES
yes, no
yes—Search in all project assemblies for the next available element counter.
no— Search only in the currently active assembly.
SHOW_PROFILE_SIZE_NOTES
yes, no
yes—The layer with notes on profile size appears after assembling a profile.
no—The layer with notes on profile size is not shown after assembling a profile.
USE_PROFILE_NUMBER_FOR_ALL_COMPONENT_NAMES

yes—Use profile counter for generating names of all copied components (profiles, project subassemblies, connectors and equipment elements).

COPY_ASM_BACKUP_PATH
Sets the path to an empty folder which the system can use as a temporary backup directory for copying subassemblies.
CREATE_CURVED_BEAMS_WITH_USE_EDGE

yes—Create curved beams with the Sketcher Use Edge command.
no—Do not create curved beams with the Sketcher Use Edge command.
