To Create a Tape Feature
1. Click Tape.
2. At the prompt, type a unique name for the tape feature. The SPOOL NAMES menu appears.
3. Select an existing tape spool on which to base the new tape feature and continue from step 8. Click Create to create a new tape spool.
4. At the prompt, type a unique name for the tape spool. The Electrical Parameters dialog box appears with the default spool parameters.
5. Modify the required spool parameter values.
6. Click Apply and then OK in the Electrical Parameters dialog box.
7. At the prompt, type the number of times the tape is to wind around the cable or set of cables. The default is 2 times.
8. Select a cable location to use as center for the new tape feature. Cabling wraps all items at the selected location with the tape feature.

There are no dimensions to modify in a tape feature, as the size is determined by the tape spool parameters. You can modify the tape feature using the Electrical Parameters dialog box only.
To Create a Branch Tape Feature
1. Click Branch Tape.
2. Select a location in the graphics window.
3. Select an existing tape spool on which to base the new tape feature and continue from step 7. Click to create to create a new tape spool.
4. At the prompt, type a unique name for the tape spool. The Electrical Parameters dialog box appears with the default spool parameters.
5. Modify the required spool parameter values.
6. Click Apply and then OK in the Electrical Parameters dialog box.
7. In the Overlap Factor box, type a value in percentage to specify the amount of overlap of tape on each wind along the feature. This value provides an estimate of the total tape length required for the feature.
8. On the Branches tab, in the Branches Length box, specify the default length of tape to be wound on each branch. The respective branch is highlighted in the graphics window when you point to a row in the tab.
9. In the Length column, click the default length and modify the tape length on a branch, if required. The modified tape length is displayed in bold type. After modification, any change in the default Branches Length value does not affect the modified branch length.
10. In the Include column, clear the check boxes next to the branches that you want to exclude from the feature, if required. When you exclude a branch, the branch becomes unavailable for modification.
11. Click OK. The Branch Tape feature is created.
