About Creating Geometric and Construction Entities
In Drawing mode, you can create geometric and construction entities as draft entities that are saved with the Layout drawing. Draft entities appear by default with solid lines and construction draft entities appear in a dashed line style.
You create draft geometry using the sketching tools on the Sketch tab. As you sketch, live dimensions and snapping guides appear that display the location and size of the entities and suggest temporary constraints or snapping guides. You can lock and unlock snapping guides and dimensions. If you activate Construction mode, you can create construction entities. To convert a selected solid entity to construction, right-click and select Solid or press Shift + G. To convert a selected construction entity to solid, right-click and select Construction or press Shift + G. You can also use a separate tool to create points. Construction mode supports creation of geometry using the following tools as construction entities:
