Linear Acceleration in Creo Simulation Live
Apply an acceleration or inertia load in a specific direction.
User Interface Location: Click Live Simulation > Linear Acceleration.
Release: Creo 7.0.0.0
What is the benefit of this enhancement?
In earlier releases, gravity is the only acceleration available. In Creo Simulation Live 7.0, you can apply a linear acceleration or an inertia load in a specific direction. When you apply linear acceleration, loads or forces are developed in the bodies in the direction opposite to the linear acceleration. To be affected, bodies must have mass. You can apply linear acceleration with a reference to the default or local coordinate system.
Use linear acceleration to model the effects of gravity such as weight and to apply more than a standard gravity load.
