New Lattice Transitions in Additive Manufacturing
You can define transitions between the beam-based lattices and a supported wall of a model. This provides additional support to the lattice.
User Interface Location: Click Model > Engineering > Lattice. For Lattice type, select Beams and then in the Cell Type tab, select from the Transition type list.
Release: Creo Parametric 6.0.0.0

What is the benefit of this enhancement?
When creating a lattice inside a closed volume region, transitions help to support the ceiling. Adding transition beams between the lattice and the internal horizontal walls (ceiling) improves the printability of a beam-based lattice structure. This reduces the number of support structures, amount of material, time for printing, and the postprocessing for removal of supports.

Tips:
None.
Limitations:
This functionality works with simplified representation of lattices. Print using 3D Manufacturing Format (3MF) and be sure that your printer supports 3MF.
Does this replace existing functionality?
No.
