About the Solidify Feature User Interface
The
Solidify tab consists of commands, tabs, and shortcut menus. Select a quilt or surface geometry to solidify, and then click
Model >
Solidify to open the
Solidify tab.
Commands
• —Creates solid volume using the selected surface or quilt.
• —Removes material using the selected surface or quilt.
• —Patches the selected surface or quilt to a solid.
• —Changes the material direction of the solidify feature.
Tabs
• References
◦ Quilt collector—Displays the quilt to solidify.
• Properties
◦ Name box—Sets a name for a feature.
◦ —Displays detailed component information in a browser.
Shortcut Menus
Right-click the graphics window to access shortcut menu commands.
• Add Material—Adds material using the surface feature or quilt geometry as the boundary
• Remove Material—Removes material using the surface feature or quilt geometry as the boundary
• Patch—Replaces a specified portion of a surface with a quilt
• Clear—Clears the selected reference from the active collector.
| At any given time only one of the Add Material, Remove Material, and Patch commands can be selected. |
Right-click the direction arrow to access shortcut menu commands.
• Flip—Change the material direction of the solidify feature.
