Creo Topology Optimization > Model Setup > Loads > To Define Gravity Loads—Topology Optimization

To Define Gravity Loads—Topology Optimization
1. Click Home > Loads > Gravity. The Gravity Load dialog box opens.
2. Enter a name for the load, or use the default name. Click the color swatch next to Name if you want to change the color of the constraint icon.
3. Select an existing load set from the Member of Set area or click New to create a new load set.
4. If you do not want to use the current coordinate system, click World to select the WCS, or click Selected to select a user-defined coordinate system, in the Coordinate System area. The selected coordinate system appears in the collector.
5. Select one of the following from the drop-down list to specify the magnitude and direction for the Acceleration:
Components
Dir Vector & Mag
Dir Points & Mag
6. Specify the directional values. You can enter a value, mathematical expression, or parameter name in these fields. Select units of gravitational acceleration from the drop-down list or accept the default units.
7. Click OK to accept and save the load.
If problems with the definition of the load are identified, a message appears.
If there are no problems with the definition, then the loads are applied to the selected entities. A load icon is added at the origin of the WCS.
For details about loads, see the Creo Simulate help.
