FEM Mesh Settings
Click
Home and then click the arrow next to
Mesh. Click
Settings to open the
FEM Mesh Settings dialog box to control the mesh settings in FEM mode.
This dialog box allows you to define the shell element type and other settings. These items appear in the FEM Mesh Settings dialog box:
• Shell Element Type—You can specify the following shapes for the shell elements:
◦ Triangles
◦ Quads and Triangles
• Miscellaneous Settings:
—Unopposed surfaces are excluded from the mesh.
• Mesh Optimization Steps—Specifies the number of steps to be taken to optimize the mesh.
