Creo Simulate > Modeling Structure and Thermal Problems > Connections > Welds > End Welds > End Weld Definition

End Weld Definition
When you select End Weld as the weld type on the Weld Definition dialog box, in addition to Name and Type the following options are available on the Weld Definition dialog box:
End Weld Type—You can select one of the following end weld types:
Extend Single to Single—You can select one surface to extend and one surface to be extended to.
Extend Many to Single—You can select multiple surfaces to be extended to a single surface.
Extend Single to Many—You can select one surface to be extended to many surfaces
References—Specify the surfaces to which you want Creo Simulate to attach the end welds. Single or multiple surface collectors are displayed depending on your choice of End Weld Type.
Properties
Extend Adjacent Surfaces—Select the Extend Adjacent Surfaces check box if you want to extend adjacent surfaces, regardless of the angle they form with the source surface.
When the Extend Adjacent Surfaces check box is not selected, the weld is created between the source surface and the target surface only if the angle between the source surface and the adjacent surface is less than the angle specified by the sim_extend_surf_max_angle configuration option. See example on Extend Adjacent Surfaces.
