Datum Feature Creation
You can create the following datum features in your model.
Curve—Opens the Datum Curve tab, from which you can use to create datum curve.
Plane—Opens the DATUM PLANE dialog box, which you can use to create and place the datum plane.
Axis—Opens the DATUM AXIS dialog box, which you can use to create and place the datum axis.
Point—Opens the DATUM POINT dialog box, which you can use to create and place the datum point.
Coordinate System—Takes you directly to the COORDINATE SYSTEM dialog box from which you can create the coordinate system.

The methods that you use to create datum points, curves, axes, references, and planes are the same as those you use in Creo Parametric. For more information, refer to the Part Modeling functional area of the Help Center. If you create datum curves, datum planes, datum axes, or datum points in Creo Simulate, you can promote them so they are permanently visible and accessible in Creo Parametric.
