To Create a Projection Line
By using the Projection option, you can create a Constructed Line by projecting a previously created Constructed Line onto a Measured or Constructed plane.
1. Click
Inspect >
Line/Axis. The
CMM Construct Step dialog box opens.
2. Select the parent reference Csys from the Parent Csys drop-down list.
3. Select Projection from the Type drop-down list.
4. Select 2 measure or construct steps in the following order:
a. First, select a line to be projected. Select a measure or construct step of the following type:
▪ Line
▪ Cylinder (axis)
▪ Cone (cone axis)
b. Next, select the second reference. Select a measure or construct step of type plane. The line is projected on the selected plane.
5. Click OK.
