To Customize the Sketcher Environment
1. Click File > Options. The Creo Direct Options dialog box opens.
2. Click Sketcher. The customization options appear.
3. To display or hide vertices and dimensions, select or clear one or more check boxes in the Object display settings area.
4. To display or hide specific types of guides, select or clear one or more check boxes in the Sketching Guides area.
5. To control the display of the precision panels, perform the following actions in the Precision Panels area:
Select or clear the Precision panel check box.
If you have selected the above check box, type or select a value from 0 through 5 in the Decimal places box. This sets the number of decimal places for the values in the precision panels.
6. In the Sketcher grid area, define the following grid settings:
Grid display
Snap to grid
Grid angle
Grid type
Select one of the following grid spacing types:
Dynamic—Adjusts automatically the grid spacing according to the zoom factor.
Static—Adjusts manually the grid spacing and angle. Use this option before you create geometry to control the approximate size of the section.
For a grid set to Static, type a new spacing value along the x-axis and y-axis in the respective boxes.
7. To set the orientation of the sketching plane when entering the Sketcher environment, select or clear the Make the sketching plane parallel to the screen check box.
8. To specify the thickness of sketched geometry and construction lines in 2D mode, type or select a value from 1 through 3 in the Line thickness box.
9. To return to the default settings, click Restore Defaults.
10. Click OK.
