About Sharing Objects on Co-Installed Servers
Co-installed servers allow you to share files between Windchill components as read-only objects. For example, when you open a Windchill PDMLink object from within a project, the object is automatically shared. You can, therefore, reference or use the shared object in the project.
You can only share objects from a library or product to a project. You cannot share objects between two projects.
Shared objects are intended to be used for reference only. If you want to edit a shared object, you must first check it out of the PDM component of the co-installed server.

* You cannot share parts, products, and CAD documents between projects. However, you can share documents, such as Word.
