Other view settings
To set default values or change the other view settings,
1. Click File > Settings > View 2D > View Settings. The Default Settings browser opens with the View settings.
2. Expand Other.
You can set the following default values for other view settings. Most of the settings are intuitive and have a good description in the default settings browser, but it may be helpful to review the linked topics below.
Add/Remove Parts in Dependent Views
You can set the value for Add/Remove parts from dependent views to:
On
Off
The Add Part and Remove Part commands add and remove parts from assembly views. The Add/Remove parts from dependent views option determines whether added or removed parts are also added or removed from the dependent views (such as section and detail views) of the selected view.
Add New Parts to Existing Views
You can set the view update value for Add parts to existing view settings to:
Automatically added to possible views
Not added to views
With the default value, Annotation will automatically add to views parts that have been created since the views were last updated.
Add Copied Parts to Existing Views
You can control how copied parts are included in view sets. They can either be added automatically, added when the source part is a component of a view, or not added.
You can set the view update value for Add copied parts to existing views to:
Not added to views
Automatically added to possible views
Added to the view if the source is component of the view
'View needs Update' Warning
You can set the View needs update warning to:
On
Off
If set to On, Annotation will issue a warning message after view modifications that require an update of the view to make the change visible.
