Predefined dimension tolerances
Dimension tolerance values can be predefined and stored in a table. Later, you can recall the stored settings and use them in the current dimensioning style. Tables can be saved to disk for use in future Creo Elements/Direct Annotation sessions.
To add a tolerance to its table,
1. Click Annotation and then, in the Annotate group, click the Linear, Circular, or Angular dimension. The respective dialog box opens.
2. Select a type of tolerance from the Tol Type list.
3. Enter the tolerance values in the relevant boxes.
4. Click Put All under Tolerance.
5. Click Yes when Creo Elements/Direct Annotation asks you to confirm the table addition.
6. Complete the dimension operation.
Note that all tolerances put into a table are recognized by all tolerance tables as part of a set. This allows you to select style sets from the All Tolerance Values table. You select single entries for specific tolerance values from the relevant tables: see below.
To select a style from a dimension tolerance table,
1. Click Annotation and then, in the Annotate group, click the Linear, Circular, or Angular dimension. The respective dialog box opens.
2. Select a type of tolerance from the Tol Type list.
3. Click Limit 1 or Limit 2, Upper or Lower, or PM Value, depending on the type of tolerance.
Creo Elements/Direct Annotation displays a table corresponding to the specified tolerance value.
4. Click an entry in the table, and click Apply; or double-click the entry.
The value appears in the relevant box.
5. Complete the dimension operation.
Creo Elements/Direct Annotation includes the selected tolerance with the dimension text.
You can also select a style set of tolerances from the All Tolerance Values table using the Get All button. This allows you to select a group containing one or more tolerances.
The tolerance tables
The Limit Tolerance table, the Upper/Lower Tolerance table, and the Plus/Minus Tolerance table behave identically to the other fix and tolerance tables.
The all tolerance values table
The All Tolerance Values table displays the grouped Limit 1, Limit 2, Upper, Lower, and PM Value tolerances. By selecting a row in the table, all tolerance values of that entry are used in the current dimension style.
To use a set of tolerances,
1. Click Annotation and then, in the Annotate group, click the Linear, Circular, or Angular dimension. The respective dialog box opens.
2. Click Get All under Tolerance.
Creo Elements/Direct Annotation displays the All Tolerance Values table.
3. Click the row of the table containing the tolerances you require, and click Apply; or double-click the entry.
4. Complete the dimension operation.
Creo Elements/Direct Annotation includes the relevant tolerances with the dimension text.
The All Tolerance Values table behaves identically to the other fix and tolerance tables with respect to saving and loading tables, column filtering, and deleting rows.
