Move a library part
From these dialogs, you can move a standard part and create a pattern of copies from the current part.
To position (move) a part,
1. Click
Part Library and then, in the
Catalog group, click the arrow next to
Modify.
2. Select from one of the following options in the Move + Share section:
◦ Single: Repositions a single part in the viewport.
◦ Linear: Repositions a part and adds multiple parts in a linear pattern.
◦ Radial: Repositions a part and adds multiple parts in a radial pattern.
3. Position the part in the viewport or select the following options:
◦ Edge: Select an edge to use as a reference for positioning.
◦ Reverse: Flip the part so its positioned is mirrored.
◦ Positioning bore/cone: Position the part based on its largest conical surface.
◦ Position in plane: Select a face or workplane and a position point in the viewport.
◦ Rotate axis: Select 30, 45, or 180 degrees.
◦ Move axis: Move the part along its axis by the amount you type.
◦ General positioning: Move the part in the viewport using the 3D CoPilot.
◦ Position: Use the standard Creo Elements/Direct Modeling position options.
4. If you selected a linear or radial pattern, you must also set the pattern properties:
◦ Direction (linear): Select a direction in the viewport.
◦ Distance (linear): Type the distance between parts.
◦ Axis (radial): Select the axis for the pattern in the viewport.
◦ Angle (radial): Type the angle between parts.
◦ Amount (both types): Type the number of parts you want in your pattern.
5. Click
OK to complete the operation.
