This section describes new features and functionality in ThingWorx Utilities 6.0.1
ThingWorx Utilities Console
- The ability to navigate back to the ThingWorx Utilities Console using the Utility Switcher
is now available in all of the ThingWorx Utilities utilities and applications.
ThingWorx Utilities Core Platform
- ThingWorx Utilities SDK is available allowing you to create custom integrations built on top of ThingWorx Utilities.
- A cloud-based developer environment that provides a pre-configured virtual machine setup for rapid development. The environment
includes:
These artifacts, along with the supporting documentation about how to use the virtual machine and best practices for developing on ThingWorx Utilities, provide a quick and easy way to start implementing ThingWorx Utilities extensions.
- Development tools that are pre-loaded and configured such as Eclipse and Maven
- Code samples of core ThingWorx Utilities entities including a resource provider and connector
- When authorization is delegated to a Relying Party (Salesforce, for example), ThingWorx can perform actions in another business system on behalf of a user without requiring that user to authenticate.
- Resource Provider updates—Resource providers can be created with more flexibility, and it is no longer required that you have a resource-specific template. The parent can be one that is based on a common connector implementation.
ThingWorx Workflow Builder
- Ability to associate a User Interface with an activity that requires a user to visit a mashup and click a button to continue
with a business process. When a User Interface is associated with an activity, you can then specify a configured user from
the Performers tab. The configured user will receive an email notification with a link to the mashup.
ThingWorx Workflow Manager
- A Welcome Screen is available upon opening the utility for the first time.
