Running the Data Simulator
You can run this data simulator to generate data and alerts for a demo environment of connected washing machines.
  1. Extract laundry.zip.
  2. Open laundry.properties with a text editor, and update the Host_Uri property so that it points to your host name.
  3. Change the Application_Key to a unique value. The application key is created on the ThingWorx platform, and the default is aceb34f5-a164-4086-87c9-a453db618ca3. To create a new key, log in to ThingWorx Composer as an Administrator, and navigate to Explorer ▶ Application Keys. Once you save the key, it appears in the KeyId field.
  4. Save and close the file.
  5. Run startLaundryClient.bat.
