Creating the Asset Things
For each MRI machine, create a Thing that is an instance of the Thing Template for the model. For the purpose of this example, we will create Things for the three X100 Series MRI machines with serial numbers 1001, 1002, and 1003.
  1. Create a Thing and provide a name and tag. If possible, set the Avatar to an image of the MRI machine. This image displays in the Asset Details area in the left panel of the Asset Dashboard.
  2. In the Thing Template field, select the X100 Series MRI ThingTemplate. Click Save.
  3. Click Properties and click Edit.
  4. Click Set on each property to edit the specific values, such as Asset Owner, Asset Location, and AssetSerialNumber, and click Set again.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Repeat this process for the remaining MRI machines.
  7. Launch the application using one of the following ways:
    • Go to the following in a web browser:
      http://hostname:port/Thingworx/Runtime/index.html#master=TW.RSM.Master.RemoteService.AssetSearch&mashup=TW.RSM.Mashup.AssetSearchByKeyword
    • In ThingWorx Composer, open the TW.RSM.Assets mashup and click View Mashup.
  8. The MRI models and their statuses display on the main Remote Access and Control page.
     Note
    The MRI models are available in the Search by Asset Types search.
