Real World Design Challenge

Real World Design Challenge

The RWDC is an annual competition that provides high school students in the United States, grades 9-12, the opportunity to address a challenge that confronts our nation’s aerospace and automotive industries.

Students use professional-grade engineering software to develop their solutions in a team environment.

Every teacher that participates in the RWDC gets $1 million in professional engineering software along with training, curriculum materials, and access to mentors.

FIRST Robotics

FIRST

PTC is a proud sponsor of FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology). Reaching more than 150,000 students in grades K-12 annually, FIRST is an accessible and innovative robotics program that helps students build STEM skills.

Through its sponsorship of FIRST, PTC provides a full suite of design and collaboration softare (Creo, Mathcad, and Windchill) free to FTC and FRC teams. In addition, PTC provides funds to sponsor teams, events and scholarships, and has over 300 employee volunteers worldwide.

Scalextric4Schools

Scalextric 4 Schools

Scalextric4Schools is an exciting and affordable Design – Make – Race challenge for middle and high school children. Schools can run the challenge in their taught curriculum or as an after school activity.

Students use PTC’s Creo software to design fast and efficient cars and output those designs to manufacturing equipment to build the car. Students can race against other schools and students in the national final.

Menorah Design Challenge

PTC has partnered with the Chabad Jewish Centre in Needham, Massachusetts to develop this design challenge.

We provide you with latest Creo Parametric Academic Edition and comprehensive tutorials FREE! You can then model your own designs for an indoor or outdoor Menorah.

The winning indoor designs will be rapid prototyped and the winning outdoor design will be manufactured and used for the public Menorah lighting celebration of Chanukah on December 10th 2012.
