Benefits and Description
In PTC Windchill 10.1 M050, the following user experience and performance enhancements have been made to PTC Windchill Workgroup Manager for CATIA V5:
- For environments that are configured to use the Theorem worker to create Creo View representations of CATIA V5 data, the ability to run the Theorem worker as a service is now certified by PTC. A new preference is available to ensure that this configuration operates properly. When running the Theorem worker as a service, you can use the new preference lock.raster.drawing.views.on.publish to prevent representations from being generated for raster views that are part of CATDrawing views. Raster views are more likely to encounter errors during publication in some environments and not generate successfully. When this preference is enabled, the existing raster view is retained. - The updated force.update.metadata.on.open and new update.metadata.on.load preferences enable you to delay the propagation of metadata (global attributes and system attributes) to obtain better performance. - The new enable.auto.numbering.on.new.document.in.CATIA.session preference enables you to control whether the PTC Windchill-generated number is used as the file name and part number for new documents created in CATIA V5. - The new enable.suppressed.component.on.save preference enables you to control whether deactivated components are stored as suppressed in PTC Windchill when saved to workspace or checked in from PTC Windchill Workgroup Manager for CATIA V5. - Native CATIA V5 attributes that are mapped to PTC Winchill attributes as “CAT:<xxxx>” are now shown for CATDrawing, CATProcess, and CATAnalysis file types. These attributes are shown under Parameter on the specification tree in CATIA V5.
