Benefits and Description
In PTC Windchill 10.0 M050, the following enhancements have been made to improve the performance of PTC Windchill Workgroup Manager for CATIA V5:
- The new expose.mass.properties.only.main.body preference controls whether to expose properties for only the main body when the part or product is saved to a workspace or checked in. This preference is set to No by default.
For more information, see the “Exposing CATIA Properties to Windchill” topic under “Administration and Configuration” in the PTC Windchill Workgroup Manager Help Center or the PTC Windchill Workgroup Manager for CATIA V5 Administrator's and User's Guide. Tip: Enter the topic name in the PTC Windchill Workgroup Manager Help Center search field to easily navigate to the topic. - Previously, data without instance names appeared to be missing from the product structure. With this update, users are asked whether to add instance names for this data when the data is added to PTC Windchill. The user can choose to use native CATIA V5 behavior to automatically add instance names, or stop the operation and manually add instance names. This update applies to new and legacy data.
Additionally, the new store.formula.value.for.parameters preference is available for the server. When set to Yes, this preference stores the formula value instead of the display value for parameters that use formulas. By default, this preference is set to No. For more information, see the preference in the wgmclient.ini file.
