Benefits and Description
The Autodesk Inventor Content Center is a standard parts library commonly used by Autodesk Inventor customers. The Content Center libraries contain pre-created standard parts (for example, fasteners, bearings, and piping fixtures).
Beginning in PTC Windchill 10.2, it is possible to use Content Center libraries in conjunction with the PTC Windchill Workgroup Manager. PTC Windchill 10.2 verifies if Content Center files already exist in Windchill and uploads new Content Center files.
- If that file already exists in the commonspace, Windchill downloads the existing file to the workspace and uses that file to insert the assembly.
- If the file does not exist, Windchill creates the new file in the workspace. It then uploads the file and checks it in to a predefined Windchill Library folder set by a Windchill preference.
