Benefits and Description

The new command Create Inseparable allows to mark an assembly and all its subcomponents as inseparable, designated with a small red seal in the Creo Elements/Direct Modeling structure browser icon. Creo Elements/Direct Modeling will completely isolate the components from the outside by disallowing the creation of shares outside of the inseparable assembly context and by cutting any existing sharing relationships, for instance with library parts.

When saved to Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager, an inseparable assemblyit is stored as one single object in the database.

Management of inseparable assemblies is important for purchased or externally designed modules. It allows to protect internal components from inadvertent reuse outside the context of the module. It also prevents the creation of unnecessary and unwanted data objects in Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager.
