Understanding, Investigating and Managing References with Creo

In this class, you will learn about best reference choices; performing trade‐offs between embedded design intent versus model stability; leveraging insight into the available tools to investigate existing reference structures; and applying the know‐how of correctly managing reference threads. You will learn that effectively handling a change goes beyond just editing a dimension or removing a feature. You will learn about Creo references and dependencies and how the parent and child relationships drive, limit and enable your designs. You will also learn about the tools that provide insight into the existing reference structures and the relationships between features in Creo parts and assemblies. Understanding, locating, and eventually managing references is key to building a robust model or assembly and performing a quick and successful change implementation.
